Moodscape is based on the idea that you can measure your mood daily to improve your overall mental health. By registering on the website, you can track your mood and if you want, nominate someone to act as your ‘buddy’. The added bonus to registering is that you receive a daily email which I’ve found both thoughtful and uplifting. Well worth looking into.

This is about an experiment where people volunteered to practice up to 6 ‘habits for happiness’ every day for three weeks. The results show that daily repetition of exercises – like smiling, being kind to others and repeating positive affirmations – really did raise happiness levels. And better still, some of these activities can become habits in as little as three weeks.

The Sticks and Stones campaign was launched in April 2010 with the aim of collected 100,000 pledges of support. This has been achieved so they’re continuing to build on the momentum. The campaign is built around a core slogan, “Sticks and stones may break my bones – words can also hurt me,” which is a familiar memorable nursery rhyme with a twist.
Support from celebrities such as Paul O’Grady and Lynda Bellingham has helped to attract national publicity, while political support has come from the leaders of the Coalition Government, Alastair Campbell and Andy Burnham, Leigh MP.
